My partner and I used to argue about what we'd agreed to mid-hand. Now we have a complete system doc that we both reviewed. No more 'I thought we played...' moments.

Bridge System Questions
What a bidding system is, how to build one, and how this tool helps.
What is a bridge bidding system?
A bidding system is the full set of agreements a partnership uses to communicate during an auction - opening bid structure, responses, conventions, slam methods, and defensive signals. Common systems include SAYC, 2/1 Game Force, Precision, and Acol. Most pairs layer in specific conventions on top of their base system.
How does the System Builder work?
Pick a base system (SAYC, 2/1, Precision, or Acol), then answer questions about your specific agreements - NT range, major suit structure, weak twos, slam methods, competitive defenses. Brian compiles your answers into a complete system document you can download and share with your partner.
What systems can I build?
Four base systems: SAYC, 2/1 Game Force, Precision Club, and Acol. Each starts with sensible defaults for common agreements. You customize from there - adjusting NT ranges, responses, competitive methods, and any conventions you've added to your game.
Is it free?
Yes, free and no account needed. Generate a system document and download it as a text file. Most partnerships build one system doc per partnership and update it as they add new agreements over time.
How is this different from a convention card?
A convention card is a compact one-pager for opponents. A system document is for you and your partner - more detailed, with explanations of why you play certain agreements and coverage of edge cases. Use the Convention Card Creator for your ACBL card, the System Builder for your full partnership notes.
Where should new partnerships start?
Focus on the high-frequency agreements first: 1NT range, 4 or 5-card majors, Stayman and Jacoby Transfers, and weak two-bids. Get those automatic before adding slam conventions or competitive defenses. A simple system played consistently beats a complex one played inconsistently.

The step-by-step wizard asked about agreements I hadn't even thought of. We discovered three areas where we had completely different assumptions. Saved us a disaster at regionals.
I'm new to tournament bridge and didn't know where to start with system notes. The 2/1 preset gave us a solid foundation and we just customized from there. Took maybe 15 minutes.
