Learn the Basics
Bridge is played with 4 players in two partnerships. Each hand has two phases: bidding (an auction to determine trump suit and contract) and play (trying to win tricks). That's the 30-second version.

Conventions are agreed-upon bidding agreements between partners. Start with these three — they handle the majority of hands you'll see:
Stayman
Find 4-4 major suit fits after partner opens 1NT
Jacoby Transfers
Show 5+ card majors after 1NT — the right hand becomes declarer
Blackwood (RKCB)
Ask for aces when you think slam might be possible
